University of Hartford—We see a greater strength in you

We are a private, mid-sized university of 5,300 undergraduate students with 92 undergraduate majors, 100 clubs and organizations, and an average class size of just 22 students. Our professors are experts in their fields and help students tap into their passions while challenging and inspiring them to discover their true strength.

Located on a beautiful, 350-acre suburban campus in West Hartford, in the state of Connecticut, the University is 7km from the capital city of Hartford, and just a two-hour drive to Boston and New York City. Can’t get here for a tour? No worries. Take a VIRTUAL TOUR of campus from wherever you are.

When you study at the University of Hartford, your professors will challenge you to write your own story, one that should make you proud and leave your potential employers impressed. Our students have designed and built race cars, conducted research for NASA, and created music compositions performed by the Hartford Symphony. Would you like to speak with a current international student, to ask them about their experience at the University?  Please see our INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AMBASSADOR TESTIMONIALS

What can I study?

With approximately 7,000 full-time and part-time graduate and undergraduate students, the campus is large enough to achieve the goals of a university without becoming a massive, impersonal institution. Many opportunities for career preparation can be realized

through seven schools and colleges. Whatever you’re interested in studying, chances are we offer classes in that subject area. With a student-faculty ratio of 9:1, you can enjoy and benefit from the personal attention of our dedicated faculty and our academic support services.

Supportive Faculty

Faculty choose to come here because teaching is their priority, and students know they can turn to their professors for a deeper understanding of their areas of interest and of life in general. A supportive environment that allows a healthy mix of research, teaching, and community-involvement, attracts world-renowned scholars, acclaimed visual and performing artists, and industry leaders who are dedicated to mentoring students and helping them excel.
