Glenholme---Glen-Ridge-webCHARACTERISTICS OF INSTITUTION

Educating students since 1968, The Glenholme School blends a traditional coeducational boarding school experience with a therapeutic atmosphere balanced by a constructive, motivational program, which is devoted to 125 young people ages 10 to adult with Asperger’s, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, as well as various learning differences.

Glenholme maintains an individualized approach to studies designed to each student’s strengths and talents to help shape more independent and motivated learners. Supportive resources are available to assist each student in the mastery of independence in their academic effort.

The fine and performing arts programs are fundamental elements in each student’s daily life at school. Talents are revealed and nurtured through academic courses, choral and drama activities, field trips and frequent contact with the cultural impacts available across the northeastern sections of the United States. Our incorporation of the arts into academic and residential programs stimulates a greater understanding of behavioral, social, emotional, and academic areas for students. The results of the arts are evident across settings about campus as well as at home and beyond.
